A man was attacked with a knife by his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend in Samut Prakan, leaving him with severe injuries to his left arm. The police are actively pursuing the suspect involved in the incident.

The altercation occurred yesterday on Thepharak Road, at the 17th kilometre mark in Bang Phli district. Officers from Bang Phli Police Station, in conjunction with Ruamkatanyu Foundation officers, responded to the call.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found 28 year old Kittiphong Thossiriwat with a severe knife wound on his left arm in front of an auto accessory shop. Paramedics from the foundation provided first aid before transporting him to Chularat 3 International Hospital. Nearby, they discovered a white Yamaha GT motorcycle bearing the registration number 4 กณ 7198 Bangkok, parked by the roadside with a bag of groceries hanging from it.

Witnesses reported that the attacker, riding a blue motorcycle resembling a big bike, fled towards Samrong after the assault.

An eyewitness, identified as A, recounted seeing the big bike rider approach Kittiphong and demand he stop.

“I saw him pull out a knife from his bike and start chasing the victim. The victim was alone, and the guy on the big bike was alone too. I don’t know where they came from, but I saw them stop and then the attack started.”

Another witness, 50 year old B, who intervened, described the chaotic scene.

“I saw the man with the knife pointing it at the victim, shouting something. The victim ran into the shop to hide, and the attacker threw the knife on the ground before walking away. I called the police immediately.”

B also mentioned that the victim claimed not to know the attacker, reported KhaoSod.

Initial investigations revealed that the assailant was the ex-boyfriend of the woman Kittiphong is currently dating. The two had previously clashed over her, leading to this violent encounter. The police have identified the suspect and are working to locate him. Police are also seeking to interview the woman for further information.
