Alleged macau888 gambling kingpin Benz Daemon arrested upon return to Thailand

Wanted alleged macau888 gambling kingpin Benz Daemon was finally arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport upon his return to Thailand last night to face gambling and money laundering charges.

Chaiwat Kajornboonthavorn, aka “Benz Daemon,” was arrested and detained for interrogation at 9.30pm after arriving in Bangkok on a Thai Airways flight from Hong Kong. He denies the charges filed against him.

Benz was arrested under a warrant issued by the Criminal Court under suspicion of organising gambling, advertising gambling, directly and indirectly allowing others to engage in illegal games, and money laundering.

The Criminal Court ordered an initial 12-day detention to stop Benz Daemon from fleeing again.

It’s been an entire month since TV actress Arisara “Due” Thongborisut made allegations on Facebook that Benz, her ex-boyfriend, was one of “four brothers” running the illegal gambling network.

Due claims she was violently abused by Benz. He denies this allegation too.

Benz was taken to the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau in Bangkok for interrogation last night. His lawyer came prepared with doctor’s notes explaining that Benz Daemon was suffering from stress and depression.

Kingpin Benz arrived alone, with no sign of his two brothers who also fled the country following Due’s allegations last month.

Prior to walking into the interrogation room, Benz briefly told reporters, “I came to prove my innocence. I am not involved with online gambling sites. I don’t want to say anything more.”

Benz Daemon is a car racer and was previously in possession of an ultrarare Lamborghini worth over 40 million baht.

Thai police set out to seize the Lamborghini Mad Bull Liberty Walk Aventador V2 – one of only 50 ever made and the only one in Thailand – however, they couldn’t find it.

Benz’s lawyer surrendered the car to cyber police last week with a snazzy new paint job.

In total, police arrested 33 people with alleged involvement in the macau888 gambling network and seized 539 million baht worth of assets.

Benz Daemon’s younger brother, Pol. Capt. Kunakorn “Captain Bright” Khajornboonthaworn, denies being part of the gambling ring and had his name cleared last week.
