The Ultimate Currency

“A human being, like a business, makes profits and suffers losses. For a human being, however, the ultimate currency is not money, nor is it any external measure, such as fame, fortune, or power. The ultimate currency for a human being is happiness.”

If the ultimate currency is happiness, why do we keep paying high interest rates to a middle man? Happiness is an inside job and the only person responsible for your happiness is YOU.

When did we scramble the equation and start chasing our happiness?

The hidden treasure hunt. Hunting for the missing ‘secret’.

Happiness is a moment to moment choice and to be honest hard work.

What do you think keeps pulling you back into unhappiness or creates the resistance for happiness? It’s not them or that.

Who do you think has to check all those conditional boxes you have placed on your happiness?

Red pen or black pen, it really doesn’t matter.

It’s not because you haven’t found the fame, fortune and power. It’s because you have set yourself on a treasure hunt that will always elude you.

Finally, finding the hidden treasure chest will not grant you a get out of jail free card from working on your limitations that limit your happiness.

You don’t need to be rescued or saved; you do have the qualifications. We don’t need ‘x’ to happen to be happy.

Outsourcing our happiness is like a dog chasing its tail going around around in a whirlwind circle never quite catching its prize. It’s always going to elude us.

You want to find that buried treasure? Take a look in the mirror.
