Property Update: Urban-style condo launched in the heart of Phuket

Legacy Phuket Gazette

PHUKET: Location, location, location is every property expert’s mantra, and Sansiri knows it well. They prove it with their latest Phuket project – THE BASE, located in the very heart of the island.

Situated on five rai of land on the bypass road, THE BASE Uptown is in the middle of Phuket’s retail action, just a stone’s throw away from the island’s commercial center, comprised of the Central Festival Phuket shopping mall, Tesco Lotus, Big C, Index, Makro and a number of other retail centers as well as all three of the islands major hospitals.

Phuket Town is just a short ride to the south and a nearby major throughway provides convenient access to the airport. All this is aimed at delivering an urban lifestyle on a tropical island.

All of the 387 units spread across three seven-storey buildings are 100 per cent complete and ready to move in, and 60 per cent are already sold. The units come in two types, with 351 one-room apartments of 32.5 to 33.5 square meters and 36 two-bedroom units of 55.5 and 57sqm.

To boost sales further, Sansiri has introduced special offers for three upgraded room types with furniture packages, and two room types completely furnished with prices starting at 1.89 million baht. Show units are open to visitors at the site.

Owners will gain access to a number of facilities that include a swimming pool with kid’s pool, a fitness center, landscaped gardens, and a courtyard as well as Wi-Fi in the main lobby and in the swimming pool area. Twenty-two per cent of the project’s footprint is dedicated to parking space capable of accommodating up to 84 cars.

The safety of the project’s inhabitants is guarded by a 24-hour security system and CCTVs, as well as a key-card access system.

The project has a fresh, modern design described by the developer as “modern simplicity” and “vibrant individuality”. The straight lines, clean-cut edges and toned down colors make THE BASE stand out from Phuket’s natural surroundings.

For business-minded buyers, Sansiri offers a “rental for the holidays” program through which owners can receive about a 6 per cent gross yield from their unit’s revenue, depending on length of stay.
