A very ‘Thai’ blood moon
Residents of Bangkok enjoyed the rare sight of a super blue blood moon rising in the sky on Wednesday. The event was unique because it combined a lunar eclipse, a blue moon (when a second full moon occurs in a single month) and a Super Moon (with the moon at its closest orbit around the earth).

It’s been a long wait, 150 years to be exact. Viewing was brief or impossible in Phuket with incumbent weather, cloud and a few thunderstorms spoiling the view.
