Wastewater from Bang Tao Canal flowing into sea
Local residents near the Bang Tao canal in Cherng Talay are again pleading for help because of the ongoing bad smells and effects from wastewater flowing down the waterway.
Local Rohem Taosakun says, “This problem has been particularly bad over the past five days. Related government officials have tried solving the problem but wastewater is coming back again.
This problem is particularly bad in dry weather. Most wastewater is just flowing into the sea where people are swimming.”
“Over the past month the wastewater problem is more severe. Black water is flowing into the sea with a bad smell.”
“Locals and tourists have been affected from this wastewater. Some people living near the canal complain of itchy skin. If this problem is not solved, it will become more severe.
The problems at the Bang Tao canal have come up again and again….
