Village chief smoked out by police
CHALONG: Sema Adhan, a village headman in Chalong, was arrested for possession of marijuana at his home yesterday. Pol Capt Chana Suthimas of Chalong Police Station said an informer told police yesterday that there was marijuana hidden in a house in Chalong. In the process of acquiring a search warrant, police investigators found that the house belonged to Sema, who is headman of Nakok Village. After arriving at the house and conducting a search, police found 800 grams of marijuana hidden outside in the garden area. Sema was arrested on the spot and charged with violation of narcotics laws. Capt Chana said that Sema, who is currently out of jail on bond, denied the charges.
