There, they found an intoxicated Insorn and his wife Boonjun, who was suffering from a substantial wound to her right foot, with heavy bleeding after the attack. The offending weapon, an axe, was found discarded on the floor inside the house.

The medical team administered immediate first aid to Boonjun at the scene before swiftly transporting her to Thalang Hospital for further treatment.

Insorn was apprehended at the scene by the responding officers. He was subsequently taken to Thalang Police Station, where he was questioned further and held pending additional legal proceedings, the police confirmed.

The attacking weapon

The shocking act of violence in what should be a safe domestic space has stirred the local community, emphasising the critical importance of addressing domestic violence issues.

It serves as a reminder that domestic disputes can escalate dangerously if not managed effectively, especially when alcohol is involved.

In related news, a high-profile individual has been summoned by the police for allegedly hiring assailants who stormed a temple in the Phichit province, Thailand. The incident left several people, including monks and temple workers, injured.

The summons followed the end of the individual’s parliamentary term, which previously granted immunity from prosecution. Despite being given two chances to appear, the absence of the accused may lead to an arrest warrant.
