US Ambassador’s daughter dead in fall

The 17-year-old daughter of Eric John, the US Ambassador to Thailand, accidentally fell to her death from the window of an apartment block near the Empire State Building in New York.
The Daily Telegraph reports this morning that Nicole John fell from a 25th floor flat where she was attending a party and was killed instantly, according to police.
Miss John was believed to have been part of a group at a private party at the Herald Square Towers flats in Manhattan.
According to witnesses the group arrived there shortly before 4am after returning from a nightclub.
Miss John fell to her death at about 4:15am and her body was found on a ledge on the third floor.
Eric John has been the US Ambassador to Thailand since 2007 and Nicole graduated from the International School of Bangkok.
