Type “O’ negative donation urgently needed

PHUKET CITY: Friends of an American man injured in a road accident are appealing for anyone with type ‘O’ negative blood to contact Vachira Phuket Hospital immediately.

Steve Swan, 48-year-old proprietor of the Crows Nest bar in Patong, was seriously injured on Wednesday night after his motorcycle collided with a car.

He suffered a broken hip and broken pelvis. The driver of the car and one passenger fled the scene, but one is now in custody, a friend has reported.

Steve, a retired US Navy sailor, urgently needs donations as Vachira Hospital is about to run out of this type of blood.

Anyone who can help should contact the Vachira Hospital blood bank on 076-361234, ext 1285, and say they want to donate blood for Steve Swan in room 210.
