Senior police officers on the move
PHUKET: Four senior local police officers have received transfers to other provinces as part of a national reshuffle of some 750 of Thailand’s most senior police officers. Locally, the officers being promoted – and their replacements – are: Pol Col Sayan Krasaesan, Superintendent of Phuket Immigration Police, is moving to Bangkok to become Deputy Commissioner of Immigration, Region 3. His replacement is Pol Lt Col Vitawat Booranasamarn, currently Deputy Superintendent of Tak Immigration Police. Pol Col Sati Malakanond, currently Superintendent of Chalong Police Station, is taking up the same post at Ao Luek Police Station, Krabi. He is replaced by his deputy, Pol Lt Col Chalit Kaewyarat. Pol Col Yanyong Kulvanich, Superintendent of Administration of Phuket Provincial Police will take up a new rôle as Superintendent of Kanom Police Station in Nakhon Sri Thammarat Province. His replacement is Pol Lt Col Teerayuth Karachedi, currently Deputy Superintendent of Takuatung Police Station in Phang Nga. Pol Lt Col Aroon Kaewwatee, Deputy Superintendent and chief of Tungtong Police Station has been promoted to Superintendent of Takuapa Police Station, Phang Nga. His replacement has not yet been named. All officers are due to take up their new positions by December 22, 2003.
