Police hunt Phuket arsonist

PHUKET: Police are hunting an arsonist who set a motorbike ablaze in Thalang last night.
“The 47-year-old owner of the bike, Natee Manabut, and his wife woke up last night to find the Honda Wave 100 parked in front of their house engulfed in flames,” Lt Kraisorn Boonprasop of the Thalang Police said.
“They called for help and splashed water on the bike to prevent the flames from spreading.”
The fire burnt itself out in about 10 minutes.
Police found a five-liter oil container left at the scene and are hopeful that they will be able to recover fingerprints from it or unburnt parts of the motorbike.
“Hopefully, with all of the evidence that we recovered, we will be able to arrest the perpetrator quickly,” Lt Kraisorn said.
