Phuket immigration, government offices take four-day weekend

PHUKET: The Phuket Immigration Office, along with other government offices on the island, will be closed from Saturday through Tuesday, confirmed Phuket Immigration Chief Sunchai Chokkajaykij today.
However, they will remain open for the Labor Day holiday tomorrow.
“Our office and the Patong Immigration Office will be closed for four days, starting from Saturday May 2,” Col Sunchai told the Phuket Gazette.
“Any foreigners who need to come to our office can do so on Wednesday [May 6]. They will not face penalties if their permits expire during the holiday.”
