Phuket Reminder: Business law tops agenda for IBAP meeting tonight

PHUKET: The keynote speaker at the International Business Association of Phuket (IBAP) meeting tonight will be Michael Doyle, a US attorney and partner of the Bangkok-based law firm Seri Manop & Doyle.

Mr Doyle, co-author and contributing editor of the recently released book Doyle’s Practical Guide to Business Law in Emerging Countries in Asia, will speak on the issue: Business Law in Thailand.

His fields of practice include mergers and acquisitions; dispute resolution; real estate; foreign direct investment; and cross-border transactions.

Signed copies of his books will be available.

The meeting will take place at he Thai Naan Restaurant, across from Central Festival.

Doors open at 6:15pm and the program starts at 7:10pm.

The cost of entry, including buffet dinner and complimentary drinks, is 200 baht for IBAP members and 400 baht for visitors and guests. Students aged 12 to 17 will be admitted for 100 baht.

Advance tickets for the island’s premier annual musical event, the Phuket International Blues Rock Festival, will be on sale at the special price of just 1,000 baht per night.
