Phuket Poll: prescription drugs
PHUKET TOWN: The Gazette recently reported the arrest of a 17-year-old New Zealander for possession of nine diazepam (Valium) pills without a prescription in Patong late last year.
Such arrests are very rare and it is common knowledge that pharmacies along Phuket’s west coast sell many prescription drugs over the counter – with the tacit approval of public health officers. What is your view of the situation?
