Halloween will glow at Thanyapura’s family fun run

PHUKET: Themed running events have been making a splash in the world of charity fund-raising sport events. Glow in the dark, colored powder, rock and roll, pink ribbons, rainbows and midnight runs are among the many recurring themes.
Never one to be behind the curve, Thanyapura will be taking the themed-run concept a step further this Saturday by combining multiple ideas: a Halloween, neon night run.
It’s time to get spooky and dig out your neon-colored, Halloween-inspired running outfit for what promises to be a fun and entertaining Halloween sports party in Phuket at Thanyapura.
The event combines a few fun runs, family entertainment, kids games, fabulous lighting, great music by Phuket Vibe Radio’s Garry Holden, market stalls, delicious food, charity awareness and fund raising for Yaowawit School in Phang Nga. Thanyapura hopes to encourage children, parents, schools and athletes to join this fun event.
The schedule is as follows:
5:00pm Registration at track
6:30pm Little Kids Dash (Under 8) – 500m
6:40pm Big Kids Dash (9-16 yrs) – 1,500m
7:15pm Open 5km Fun Run/Walk
8:00pm Open Relay – 4 x 500m, any age/gender
