Call for Phuket hotels to join tourist registration seminar
PHUKET: The Phuket Immigration Office is calling for hoteliers across the island to attend a seminar about registering their guests with Immigration.
Phuket Immigration Superintendent Panuwat Ruamrak told the Gazette yesterday that more than 300 hotels have already registered in the system, including the Hilton Arcadia, Sri Panwa and Marriott hotels.
The seminar will be held at the ICT Center at Saphan Hin from 9am to midday on November 11.
The meeting, to be held in Thai, will highlight the importance and benefits of having tourists registered, and how to go about it.
However, pre-registration to join the seminar is required as seating is limited.
“Hotels should register via our website before participating in the meeting as there are only about 80-100 seats available,” said Immigration Inspector Maj Kaken Nijornatsachai.
