Four South Koreans have been arrested for operating an illegal online gambling website from a condo in Pattaya.

Manager Online reports that Pattaya Immigration officers and Pattaya Tourist Police raided a condominium in south Pattaya. The raid follows police receiving a tip-off that the four men were operating an illegal online gambling website in the premises.

Officers found four male South Korean suspects – 41 year old Kim Kangseon, 35 year old Park Haekeun, 38 year old Kim Youngsun and 39 year old Suk Jongho.

They have all been charged with illegal operation of an online gambling business.

Immigration Bureau Chief Lt Gen Surchate Hakparn says, “They started to do this after entering Thailand with a tourist visa for one month. They were receiving 80,000 baht per month for their salary. From our investigations, their customers are all South Koreans.”

“They didn’t have any business license or the correct visas to consult their work.”

“The condominium owner also faces charges for not reporting to officials about foreigners checking in to their premises.”
