Thai man injures wife after meeting two alleged lovers in Chon Buri

A Thai man threw a glass picture frame at his wife, causing a severe injury to her legs, after he found her sharing an intimate moment with two alleged lovers at their home in Chon Buri province.

Officers from the Don Hua Lor Police Station were alerted to the physical assault yesterday, February 13, and rushed to the scene. The attack took place at a house in the Don Hua Lor district of Chon Buri where the first floor was utilised as a beauty salon.

A rescue team arrived first and found a Thai woman, 31 year old Wanpen, lying on the floor and crying in pain from a deep cut wound on her legs. The wounds were about 2 to 3 inches in length and 2 to 3 centimetres in depth. First aid was provided before the rescue team transported her to the hospital for further treatment.

The parcel delivery rider, Suchart, told police that he came across the injured woman and reported the matter to the police. Suchart explained that he heard the glass breaking sound and went to check on the source of the noise. He then heard Wanpen scream for help and saw she ran out of the house with bloody legs.

The attacker was none other than Wanpen’s 56 year old husband, Kung. Kung claimed that his wife cheated on him and took two lovers into the house while he was away at work.

Kung said he learned from his wife that their four year old child was sick. He tried to contact Wanpen through the LINE application and multiple calls to inquire about the child’s condition but received no response. Worried about the child, Kung rushed home from work and met two strangers at his home.

According to Kung, one man was lying on the first floor of the house while another man was in bed with his wife in their bedroom on the second floor.

Kung admitted that he was consumed by anger and then threw the glass picture frame at Wanpen. Kung said what he had done was nothing compared to what his wife did to him. He added that he would have hurt her more if he could.

Officers had not yet issued charges against Kung. They would question Wanpen about the motive for the attack once her condition improved.
