A dramatic head-on collision rocked Ao Po Pier Road in Pa Khlok, Phuket as a van and a small truck collided with a bang, leaving nine people nursing injuries. The crash unfolded around 5.30pm, yesterday, October 29, near Moo 9, prompting an immediate and swift reaction from local police and emergency crews.

On the scene, rescue teams found two Thai men with head injuries, having been knocked about beside the small truck. Inside the van, nine passengers, two men, three women, and four kids, escaped with minor wounds.

Injured parties were rapidly whisked away to nearby hospitals for treatment. Thalang Hospital admitted several of the casualties, while others were tended to at Vachira Hospital.

Wasting no time, both wrecked vehicles were cleared from the crash site post-haste. Meanwhile, Phuket police have launched a full-scale investigation into what could have possibly caused this calamity, said a spokesperson.
