Chiang Mai teenager arrested after robbing Burmese woman in Phuket
A Chiang Mai 18 year old has been arrested after robbing and attacking a Burmese woman in Phuket.
Wichit Police arrested 18 year old Saranyoo, from Chiang Mai, with a gold necklace, a gold bracelet and 1,000 Baht in cash after he robbed and physically attacked a Myanmar woman.
The victim, San Thidar New, who is a house keeper of an apartment in Wichit area, reported to the police at 1pm on April 21 that she was attacked while she was cleaning on the 2nd floor of the apartment.
According to police, he punched her in the face many times, grabbed all of her valuables and fled. However, she followed him downstairs before getting kicked and punched again. He fled with a motorcycle.
She was calling for help nearby the apartment when a patrol police found her, offered assistance and asked about the incident.
She explained to the police about the face of the robber and police caught him at Soi Pracha-Utit with all the evidence of stolen goods. The woman was sent to Vachira Hospital.
