PHUKET: The Asean Business Advisory Council (ABAC) has announced that this year’s Asean Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) will be held in Yangon, beginning November 11.

The three-day conference, now in its 11th year, will see representatives from both the private and public sectors addressing ways Asean can better leverage its cultural bonds, history and infrastructure growth
to promote the region’s potential.

“ABIS brings together private and public sector organizations, government representatives and captains of industry from within and outside Asean for effective dialogue to advance industry and business in the region,” said U Moe Kyaw, managing director of Myanmar Marketing Research and Development.

The 8th Asean Business Awards will also be held in conjunction with ABIS and will recognize Asean companies for their contributions to regional and economic growth.
