The Thailand Meteorological Department (TMD) issued a warning of heavy rainfall today, affecting 36 provinces, including Bangkok, with 60% of the area predicted to be impacted. The prevailing high-pressure system in the upper part of Thailand and the South China Sea is weakening, resulting in fog in the morning.

The increasing strength of the easterly winds covering the eastern region, the Gulf of Thailand, and the southern region is also contributing to the severe weather conditions.

Due to this weather pattern, the central region, including Bangkok and its vicinities, the eastern region, and the southern region will experience heavy rainfall in some areas.

Citizens are advised to be cautious of potential dangers caused by heavy and accumulated rainfall. Extra care should be taken when travelling through areas with thunderstorms.
