Phuket Property: Dewa Karon changes name, management

PHUKET: MAI-BS (Thailand) has taken over management of what used to be known as the Dewa Karon Resort Phuket.

The resort is currently going through a re-branding and repositioning period and will now be known as Karon Sovereign All Suites Resort.

The high-potential All Suites Resort offers 49 luxurious one and two-bedroom suites and penthouses sized between 63 and 140 square meters, with en-suite bathrooms, private terraces and private kitchenette.

Due to high demand for this property, about 20 per cent of the stunning deluxe suites will be offered to selected clients, through a prime vacation club ownership concept, catering to guests who appreciate tranquility, space, luxury and privacy for a reasonable price.

“The re-branding and repositioning process will take about three months and the resort is poised to be a leading accommodation provider with trend-setting and exciting service concepts ready by November 2013 at the latest,” says Mr Klaus R Rauter, managing director of Mai-BS (Thailand).

Mr Stefan Hermansson, the authorized director of Sovereign Company Limited, owners of Karon Sovereign Resort, added:

“We are very happy to have found an enthusiastic straightforward thinking partner in Mai-BS (Thailand) to manage and develop our resort even further for the benefit of all guests and stakeholders.

“We knew from the beginning that our resort offers an excellent product and we realize that it’s the perfect time to reposition our property and work even harder on ‘software’, such as services and offerings to increase our market-share in the very competitive luxury suite market on Phuket.”
