Furniture firm sets bar high in Phuket

PHUKET: Long standing property furnishing company, Modernform continues to raise the bar for local real estate, and is confident of hitting and maintaining its “beefy” monthly sales target of 8-10 million baht.

With its 30-year track record in the industry, the Bangkok-based firm has several branches and dealers throughout the country, namely in Bangkok’s Central World, Sri Nakarin, Rangsit (outlet), Crystal Design Center and South Pattaya; the firm also distributes its products through authorized dealers in Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen and Surat Thani.

Its Phuket showroom, which spans 700 square meters and cost about 20 million baht, offers a wide range of furnishing products, aimed primarily at the middle-income market segment.

Modernform’s growing portfolio of clients on the island is highlighted by a number of well-branded new developments such as Habitia and Habitown (Sansiri Plc); Supalai Park @ Downtown (Supalai Plc), Connext Condo, Phumuntra Condominium, as well as projects with a number of other trusted developers such as Win Pro Co Ltd and the Phuket Thani real estate company.

The firm’s director and president, Mr Patana Usanachitt told the Phuket Gazette that he is bullish about his firm’s prospects: “We import premium and high quality products which are different from our competitors, and we sell products to real estate companies that are prevailing over their rivals,” he said.

Among its offerings include top-quality furnishings and furniture for the home, work space, living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen area, dressing room, dinning room as well as outdoor spaces.

They also have interior finishings, as well as flooring and synthetic stone materials. Modernform imports furniture fittings and accessories of leading brands from Germany and Italy, among others.

The new Phuket showroom will sell unique bedroom furniture such as the contemporary bed “Posto” which uses different materials to give the bed a modern design; the “Think chair”, which aids posture and helps backbone movement by using the bottom of the chair to support the backbone and help keep it naturally aligned.

Moreover, the chair also utilizes a smart technology through what is known as a “Weight-Activated Mechanism” which allows weight level to be set, tailored to the user.

Modernform’s Phuket showroom is located at the Premium Outlet (Gallery Plaza), 888 M 2, Koh Kaew, Muang Phuket 83000 Tel: 076-350-471-3 Fax: 076-350-474. Open daily from 10am to 7pm.
