Phuket Dog of the Week: Chico
PHUKET: Chico is a cream male poodle mix, so if you are looking for a low shedding dog that’s intelligent, sociable with other dogs and affectionate towards children then this is your dog!
Chico is about eight years old, and is a wise old dude, with a very relaxed temperament.
He doesn’t bark a lot and is trained to stay close to you, with or without a leash, when out walking in the park. He loves to be bathed, groomed and fussed over, and he also loves to cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie.
Sadly, when he was rescued at Christmas time he was a real mess.
Chico was totally neglected and dumped at the local animal holding facility in Phuket by his previous owner, who was going away for the holidays and didn’t know what to do with him.
Today, after much love and nurturing, he’s a new man, but really would prefer to be in the warmth of a permanent loving home, not at the sanctuary where there are too many other dogs for his liking.
