Phuket Event: Books in the Old Town festival tonight

PHUKET: Local literary and history enthusiasts should head down to the Lard Yai Walking Street this Sunday evening for the “Books in the Old Town” festival.
Scheduled from 4-10pm, activities will take place in three areas along historical Thalang road: in front of the Thawinha-Nung Len shop; inside and in front of the “2521” book shop and in front of the “Sin and Lee” shop.
The event will feature exhibitions and booths by book sellers, authors and local publishers, featuring Phuket Literature Group; Pajonpai Publisher; books about Phuket from the Phuket Rajabhat University; books about Phuket and general books from Seng Ho Book Store; hand-made books and journals; specially-priced computer books from Advice; free travel books from Send a Book; Phuket Bulletin Magazine as well as local newspapers, namely Phuket Andaman News, Khao Setitkit, Andaman Post, Phuket Post and the Phuket Gazette, who is a proud media partner of this event.
In addition to this, there will be a number of planned book launches, readings and signing from local authors and publishers taking place throughout the evening.
