A man working away from home discovered his wife’s nightly jogs were not as innocent as she claimed. This revelation followed an anonymous phone call hinting at the truth, leading to an immediate divorce.

Three years prior, Zhang, a man in his late twenties, married his 27 year old wife, Yan. Not long after their marriage, he had to travel for work to Fujian, able to return home only once a year. Concerned about Yan’s safety, he installed a home security camera.

Everything seemed normal until October this year when Zhang noticed Yan leaving the house almost every night, only returning in the early morning. When questioned, Yan claimed her nightly jogs were due to a newfound passion for exercise. Despite his disapproval and concerns for her safety, Yan continued her late-night runs, leaving the house at 9pm consistently.

On October 27, Zhang received a cryptic phone call from an unidentified woman.

“You should come home and check on your wife. There’s talk in the village. I don’t want to see the reputation of both families ruined. If you don’t control your wife, I will stop being polite.”

Disturbed by this call, he returned home on October 29 and began investigating her nightly jogs. He discovered that Yan was spending her nights at the house of a man named Sun, who lived at the entrance of the village. Sun’s wife worked night shifts at a local silk factory, providing Yan and Sun the opportunity to engage in an affair.

Armed with indisputable evidence, he immediately filed for divorce. Despite Yan’s reluctance to agree to the divorce, it is currently in progress legally, reported Sanook.

Online netizens commented on the situation.

“This is not unusual. Some women are good at lying. If she doesn’t have a stable mind, the marriage is doomed to fail sooner or later!”

“It’s hardly believable that a woman would jog alone in the middle of the night. Even if the woman didn’t call me, I would still be suspicious of my wife.”
