Phuket woman arrested with over 20,000 methamphetamine pills
A Phuket woman has been arrested with 20,772 of methamphetamine pills and 73.43 grams of crystal methamphetamine in Chalong.
A team of patrol police arrested 39 year old Jiraphon ‘Sao’ Chauykerd. She was arrested in front of a house in Soi Luang Por Cham in Chalong. Police seized 20,772 of methamphetamine pills and 73.43grams of crystal methamphetamine from the residence.
Jiraphon was taken to Chalong Police Station where she was charged with illegal possession of Category 1 drugs with intent to sell.
Jiraphon admitted that a man, named only as ‘Bang’, hired her to deliver drugs to his customers. She received 500 baht each time and also 12,000 baht as a salary.
The arrest follows police detaining a woman named Manita ‘Jam’ Chuasakun. She was taken to Wichit Police Station where she was charged with illegal possession of Category 1 drugs with intent to sell.
Manita told her father, when he visited her at the Phuket Provincial Prison, that a woman name ‘Sao’ is selling the drugs. Manita’s father told police about this tip-off, leading to the second arrest.
