Wanted: a spy for the AMLO

PHUKET: Always wanted to work for the government but never been keen on a desk job? The Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) has the role for you – they are looking for spies. But wait, it gets better: no experience is necessary and no qualifications are required. All you have to do is apply by filling in the appropriate form at any district office or Phuket Provincial Hall, said Vice-Governor Winai Buapradit earlier this week. The only essential is that applicants have no present duties with AMLO. A university degree is not necessary. Once your talents have been scrutinized and approved by AMLO, you will be issued with your very own code number. Then, whenever you see or hear of misdeeds or people ripping off the government, all you have to do is telephone, quote your code number, and report. Once the courts have dealt with the villains, you will be entitled to apply for 15% of the loot. Again, all you have to do is fill in the appropriate form. Whether you wear a trenchcoat, drive flashy cars and associate with spies of the opposite sex is entirely up to you.
