PHUKET: FC Phuket took their worst pummeling of the season this evening, going down by the embarrassing score of 7-0 at Buriram FC.
The Volcanoes took a 2-0 lead into halftime on early goals by Sumanya Burisay (6 minutes) and Suriya Domthaisong (9 minutes).
A complete defensive collapse in the second half led to an orgy of scoring that starting with Suriya’s second goal at 68 minutes.
After that, it was a nightmare scenario for Phuket’s Southern Sea Kirin, who gave up four more goals at 75, 77, 81 and 87 minutes, according to the league website.

As the season draws to a less-than-scintillating close, Buriram and Chainat have already booked their places in the elite Thai Premier League for next season, while the BBCU Poindexters are very well positioned to take the third spot.
In the battle to avoid relegation, Samut Prakarn’s win tonight gave them a solid leg up over RBAC, Chiangmai and Thai Honda, the three teams mired in the relegation zone with the end of the season fast approaching.
