Tonight is the night! UD Almeria from the Spanish league led by ‘Mui’ Teerasil Dangda will stand face-to-face with the “Ronins of the South”, Phuket FC, at Surakul Stadium starting at 7pm.
The LFP World Challenge by Chang, of which tonight’s game is a part of, is a culmination of the joint efforts of Kata Group Resorts Thailand and the Phuket Provincial Administration Organization.
“It is a great honor to welcome UD Almeria at Surakul Stadium. I believe that this is a great inspiration to the next generation of young Thais,” said Pramookpisitt Achariyachai, president of Kata Group Resorts Thailand and Phuket FC.
“I would like to say thank you for the warm welcome from all Thai fans,” said Francisco Rodriguez, UD Almeria Manager, adding that an amazing spectacle awaits them.
The players spared no warm words about the island. Spanish defensive midfielder Fernando Soriano thanked all the fans for a warm welcome and said that Phuket has a great football club and is a very beautiful place that he is hoping to visit for a longer holiday.
UD Almeria striker “Mui” Teerasil Dangda added that he is excited for the match against the Phuket team.
“Hopefully this match will inspire children and young people to become professional football players in the future,” he said.
