Tie game for FC Phuket and Loei City
PHUKET: FC Phuket picked up another point in their bid for promotion to Division 1 of the Thai League this afternoon with a scoreless draw at Loei City.
In other matches in Group B play, Chainat FC rediscovered their scoring touch by beating Samut Prakarn on the road 4-2, while Rayong FC drew at Bangkok FC, 1-1.
The top two teams in the group will be promoted to Division 1.
Today’s results put FC Phuket into third in the group, tied with Chainat FC on 10 points but behind them on goal difference.
Rayong FC remain in the top spot with 12 points from 3 wins, three draws and no losses.
Trang FC, the other Division 2 South qualifier, had another disappointing result today when they went down 2-0 at home to Chiang Mai FC in Group A play.
FC Phuket’s next home game will be at Surakul Stadium on Saturday against Bangkok FC, who are currently at the bottom of the table.
Kick-off is at 6pm.
Admission is 50 baht for adults, 20 baht for children.
Alcohol is allowed in the stadium, but glass containers are forbidden.
