Three ya bah dealers arrested

PHUKET TOWN: The Office of the Narcotics Control Board scored a hat-trick day on Thursday when it managed to arrest three ya bah dealers, all on Sakdidej Rd. Thirty tablets of the drug were also seized. In the first two cases, undercover officers pretending to be users bought ya bah before identifying themselves and arresting the dealers, Surapong Saradee, 21, who was found to be carrying 10 pills, and Jeerawat Chaimala, 19, found to be holding eight pills. The third arrest, also along Sakdidej Rd, came after police, acting on information received, raided a house and recovered 12 pills. Utane Wantong, 18, was arrested. Phuket Town Police, who are currently holding the three dealers in custody, believe that they all obtained supplies of the drug from the same source, though they declined to give further details. All three have been charged with possession of illegal drugs with intent to sell.
