Thalang woman hangs herself
THALANG: Police discovered the body of Benjawan Rakkarndee, 30, at her home in Village 1 Srisoonthorn, near Soi Bangkham, on November 1 after she hanged herself, police said.
Maj Prakorb Boonkwan of Thalang Police said, “I was informed about the body by the village chief at 10 am. I then called the Kusoldharm Foundation and a doctor from Thalang Hospital to accompany me to the scene.
“She lived with her mother and stepfather, but at the time her stepfather was at work – he’s a security guard – and her mother was away visiting in another province for several days. K. Benjawan was unemployed,” Maj Prakorb explained.
“The night of her death, she went out and drank a large amount of alcohol. She called her mother and sent a message [SMS] to a boyfriend…
“We concluded that her death was a suicide because she had an argument with one of her boyfriends before she returned home,” he added.
A letter addressed to a boyfriend was found at the scene, Maj Prakorb confirmed.
