Phuket’s DJ Doris out of ICU
PHUKET: Paul Norris, Phuket’s renowned “DJ Doris” on Phuket Island Radio 91.5FM, is out of intensive care and recovering at Bangkok Hospital Phuket.
Mr Norris suffered a head injury in what is believed to have been a motorbike accident in Patong early Saturday morning.
He was rushed to Patong Hospital by rescue workers. However, he remained unconscious and was transferred to the better equipped Vachira Phuket Hospital in Phuket Town, and then later moved to Bangkok Hospital Phuket.
“The great news is he is out of ICU and now is in his own room at Bangkok Hospital Phuket,” Byron Jones of 91.5FM reported on Facebook.
“Tonight he looked so much better and was sitting up in bed. He is in a lot of pain with fractured ribs and a broken collar bone. The ear specialist is due to see him today,” Mr Jones said.
“Thank you everyone for all your kind wishes, text messages, etc. We have been reading them out to him each day,” he added.
“We are hoping Paul will be out of the hospital and recovering at home within the next couple of days,” Mr Jones told the Phuket Gazette this morning.
