Phuket City police chief promoted
PHUKET: The Superintendent of Phuket City Police, Pol Col Paween Pongsirin, is one of a number of senior police who are being promoted or transferred as part of the annual national police reshuffle.
Col Paween has been promoted to Deputy Commander of the Surat Thani Provincial Police. His replacement is Lt Col Natta Sawaetalaek, formerly Deputy Superintendent of Thalang Police.
Also leaving Phuket are:
Lt Col Narongyos Unhabandit, Deputy Superintendent, Thalang, to become Superintendent, Bannaderm District, Surat Thani;
Lt Col Jirasak Liamsak, Inspector (Traffic) Phuket City, to become Deputy Superintendent (Suppression), Takuapa, Phang Nga;
Lt Col Narong Laksanawimol, Inspector (Suppression) Kathu, to become Deputy Superintendent, Khok Kloy, Phang Nga;
Lt Col Worapong Wongjom, Inspector (Suppression), Chalong, to become Inspector (Investigation), Takuapa;
Lt Col Wirawat Raktham, Inquiry Officer (Level 2), Thalang, to the equivalent post in Ranong Muang District and;
Maj Cherdpong Chiewpreecha, Inspector (Suppression), Phuket City, to the equivalent post in Sawee District, Nakhon Sri Thammarat.
Moving to Phuket are:
Lt Col Jakkrit Tewanna, Inspector (Investigation), Takuapa, to become Inspector (Suppression), Kathu;
Lt Col Chaowlida Pacharsripia, Inquiry Officer (Level 2), Ranong Muang District, to the equivalent post in Phuket City.
