Major blackout coming
PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial Electricity Authority (PPEA) will be installing new power lines from Phang Nga into Phuket, which will result in blackouts on March 29 lasting from 7 am to 5 pm. These will affect two main areas: Area one: Along the west side of Chao Fa Nok Rd from the PPEA substation, including Soi Nakok and Soi Sainamyen (Chalong), Soi Klumyang Chalong, Soi Yodsane and parts of Chalong Circle; the north side of the Chalong-Kata road including Soi Pak Jae and Soi Toey Ngam; Kata beach; and much of Karon, including Soi Sapha Tambon Karon, Soi Bangla (Karon) and Wat Karon. Area two: The east side of the airport road from the Thepkrasattri Rd substation to Baan Tah Chatchai, including Moo Baan Thoranee Thong, Moo Baan Kiat Sin, Moo Baan Wisan, Soi Laem Hin, Soi Sapam Shrine, parts of Baan Sapam and Baan Koh Kaew, the Heroines’ Monument, Baan Pa Klok, Baan Bang Roang, Baan Lipon, Baan Ao Por, Baan Laem Sai, Baan Muang Mai and Baan Kian market. On the west side of the road, the blackout will also affect Baan Mai Khao, Baan Danyid, Baan Suan Maphrao and Baan Tah Chatchai. Please note that the information above was supplied by the PPEA.
