Fast Fun Fest drifts through Phuket – rain or shine

PHUKET: The Toyota Motorsport 2015 ‘Fast Fun Fest’ is revved up so that revellers can have a good time at Saphan Hin in Phuket Town this weekend – rain or shine.
The free, two-day event will run from 10am to 6pm and showcase the skills needed for the street car race and a drifting competition. Additionally, those attending will have a chance to meet and greet the ‘Toyota Star Team’ and Ice Prichaya, as well as enjoy a number of other activities and concerts.
“The Phuket event is the second of the series for 2015,” explained Toyota Pearl Group (TPG) Managing Director Wiboonchai Na Ranong at a press conference last month. “The purposes of the event are to encourage the people to drive safely; to improve the image of careful vehicle usage; and also to support the sport, as well as to boost the Phuket economy.”
The event has received the full support of Phuket Governor Nisit Jansomwong, who encourages all to attend.
“Everyone is invited to come to the event and learn more about driving safely and how to prevent being in an accident, as well as to have a good time and relish in the sport and concerts.”
