195K meth pills seized inside wheels on a truck at Phuket Checkpoint

Officers have arrested a Thai man trying to smuggle 195,810 methamphetamine pills hidden inside a pickup truck’s wheels on vehicle transport truck at the Phuket Checkpoint.
Officers arrested 32 year old Yuttapon ‘Jack’ Suktong from Trang. Officers seized a total of 195,810 methamphetamine pills.
The Region 8 Police Deputy Commander Maj Gen Nantadet Yoinuan says, “Police received a tip-off that a big drug dealer was delivering drugs into Phuket via a broken pickup truck on a vehicle transport truck.”
“At 3am on Wednesday morning the target vehicle arrived at the checkpoint. Officers search the pickup truck being carried on the larger truck.”
“Officer first found 10 methamphetamine pills inside a pair of shoes. Officers continued the search and then uncovered a stash of 195,800 methamphetamine pills inside wheels in the back of the pickup truck.”
“Yuttapon told police he has transported the drugs from Nakhon Si Thammarat to deliver to a man in Phuket. He said he would receive 50,000 baht for his smuggling the drugs into Phuket.”
“He was taken to the Tha Chatchai Police Station where he was charged with illegal possession of Category 1 Drugs with intent to sell.”
