Pattaya launches training to enhance staff’s document writing skills

Pattaya City has initiated a new training program designed to improve the skills of its employees in writing official letters and documenting meeting minutes.

The project, led by the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City, Dr Siwat Boonkerd, aims to ensure that staff members can draft accurate and effective official documents, thus enhancing communication efficiency within the city administration.

Head of the Personnel Promotion and Development Department, Chatruedee Timkrajang, highlighted the importance of well-crafted official letters and meeting minutes in the city’s operational mission. She stressed that precise communication is essential for addressing administrative matters and conveying crucial information, especially for local administrative units at lower levels.

The training project, organised by the Staff Division under the guidance of the Personnel Promotion and Development Department, has several key objectives.

Firstly, the program aims to enhance the writing skills of participants, teaching them how to compose official letters with clarity, accuracy, and eloquence. The training will focus on using language that conveys meaning effectively.

Secondly, attendees will learn to master the documentation of meeting minutes, gaining proficiency in accurately recording meeting proceedings. Properly documented meetings are crucial for streamlined operations and informed decision-making.

By equipping the city’s personnel with these essential skills, Pattaya City aims to optimise communication within the organisations. The training project is expected to facilitate smoother processes and enhance overall efficiency, ensuring that the city can better serve its residents, reported KhaoSod.
