The Thai Government Lottery Office (GLO) announced a change in the schedule for two upcoming lottery draws. The draw initially set for December 30, will now take place on January 2, 2025, due to the new year festivities. This adjustment allows for a more suitable timing, providing 17 days for the sale of lottery tickets for this particular draw.

The decision to postpone the lottery draw was confirmed after the Anti-Fake News Centre verified the information with the GLO under the Ministry of Finance. With the new year celebrations coinciding with the original draw date, the adjustment aims to accommodate the holiday period, ensuring a smoother process for both sellers and buyers of lottery tickets.

Furthermore, the mid-January lottery draw will see a shift from its usual date. Traditionally held on the 16th of each month, the draw will instead occur on January 17. This change is due to January 16 being recognised as Teachers’ Day in Thailand. This one-day shift ensures that the draw does not clash with the celebrations and observances of this significant day, reported KhaoSod.

The public is encouraged to seek updates and announcements from the GLO through their official website, or by contacting them via telephone at 02-528-9999. This ensures that everyone stays informed of any further changes or news related to the lottery draws, said a GLO spokesperson.
