Exploring the land of smiles FT. keisone | GMT

On todays GMT we have invited a special guest for the show, Thailand based Youtuber Adam ‘keisone’ Jones. We talk to him about his journey to Thailand and exploring the land of smiles. Adam gives us insight regarding integrating into Thai society, not needing to speak Thai to survive in Thailand and his inspiration for making videos on Youtube. We also go through some brief headlines and topics dominating Thai media over the weekend such as:

The Thai government has recently imposed a ban on Tipsy Tubing over the River Pai in the Mae Hong Son province. Tipsy Tubing is a popular activity among tourists, where they float down the river in inflatable tubes while drinking alcohol. The ban was put in place due to safety concerns, as the activity has been linked to numerous accidents and injuries.

At the same time, a video has gone viral on social media which shows a security guard at a Khao San club slapping a tourist. The incident happened after the tourist refused to leave the club, and the security guard was seen pushing and slapping the tourist before eventually forcing him out. The video has sparked outrage among the public, with many people calling for the security guard to be punished.
