Norse Atlantic Airways announced the launch of a new direct route from London Gatwick to Bangkok, promising passengers an enticing journey without breaking the bank.

The announcement comes alongside news of the airline’s decision to axe its London Gatwick-Miami route at the end of Summer 2025 due to lower-than-desired occupancy rates, with the final flight scheduled for 25 October.

Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO and Founder of Norse Atlantic Airways, shared his enthusiasm for the new Bangkok route.

“We’re excited to launch direct flights between London Gatwick and Bangkok, a top choice among our travellers. This addition not only strengthens our existing network in Asia but also builds on our routes from London Gatwick to destinations across the Atlantic and South Africa.

“For us, it’s all about offering more travel options at great prices without compromising on comfort and service for those looking to enjoy a beautiful and warm winter sunshine destination.”

Norse Atlantic is not stopping there. From early December 2025, flights from Stockholm Arlanda to Bangkok are set to double in frequency, as will services from Oslo to Bangkok, underscoring the airline’s strategic focus on the Asian market.

London Gatwick serves as the UK hub for the Norwegian airline, positioning it as a key player connecting Europe with the US, South Africa, and now, Asia.

In a further display of its expanding operations, Norse announced it will supply a wet lease aircraft to India’s IndiGo airline for long-haul routes starting March 2025. A wet lease is a comprehensive arrangement where the lessor provides the aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance, billed based on usage, highlighting Norse Atlantic Airways’ growing interest in third-party flying, reported Travel Radar.

As Norse Atlantic spreads its wings, travellers can look forward to more destinations and competitive prices, ensuring sky-high satisfaction on their journeys.
