Emergency responders from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found a white Toyota sedan riddled with bullet holes, indicating it had been shot at over 30 times. The driver, later identified as 30 year old Praphot, was found unconscious behind the wheel. Despite efforts to revive him, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Three other individuals, two men and one woman, were also injured in the attack. They were promptly given first aid and rushed to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Investigators found the Toyota sedan in the left lane, its rear tyres blew out from gunfire, rendering it immobile. Bullet casings from a 9mm handgun and a military-grade weapon were scattered around the scene. The area was cordoned off to allow forensic teams to collect evidence and DNA samples.

An eyewitness recounted the dramatic sequence of events, stating that the two groups had been shooting at each other while driving along the road. The sedan eventually became immobilised after its rear tyres were shot out, and bullets penetrated the vehicle, injuring the passengers inside.

The assailants then closed in, firing several more rounds into the car. The group of victims had been travelling in two vehicles, totalling seven people. The assailants were also in two vehicles, one car continued to shoot while the other blocked the victims’ path, reported KhaoSod.

A friend of the deceased, using the pseudonym A, revealed that upon hearing the news, he and others rushed to the scene. He speculated that one of the friends might have arranged the meeting to resolve a conflict, but before any discussion could take place, the shooting began. He mentioned that he and his friends, including the deceased, were regular factory workers and had no idea what triggered the violent encounter.
