Student assaulted at Sisaket school sparks outrage
A disturbing incident involving a young student being assaulted at a school in Sisaket has come to light. A post by a popular social media page featured images of a 12 year old boy, identified as A, covered in blood after being attacked by older students.
The incident, which took place on Tuesday, May 28, saw teachers bringing the injured boy back home to his 39 year old aunt, who has been taking care of him since his parents separated. The boy’s father has become a monk, leaving his sister-in-law to look after A. The aunt recounted feeling shocked and heartbroken upon seeing her nephew with a bloody head wound that required two stitches.
A revealed that he was assaulted by two older students, 13 year old B, and 14 year old C, after refusing to buy cigarettes for them. The attack involved a heavy chain, a PVC pipe, and even a knife. The older students also burned A with a lit cigarette, leading him to seek help from a teacher, who then took him to the hospital.
A recounted the horrific attack.
“They used a large chain and a PVC pipe to hit me, and they even burned me with a cigarette. I tried to fight back and ran to the teacher for help.”
A’s aunt previously posted photos of the injuries on social media, seeking advice and support. She mentioned that this was not the first time A had been attacked, as he had previously been whipped with vines by other students, but no action was taken by the school.
“I didn’t know what to do, so I posted the pictures online. This isn’t the first time he’s been hurt. The school didn’t do anything before, and now it’s happened again. I can’t accept this.”

The school faced backlash for allegedly attempting to blame the aunt for tarnishing its reputation by posting the images. The aunt insisted that she would pursue legal action to ensure justice for her nephew, especially since the parents of the attackers had shown no remorse or responsibility.
“They laughed and didn’t care about what happened to my nephew. I will take legal action to the fullest extent.”
The school principal confirmed that the incident occurred around 9am, on May 28, near the storage area for tables and chairs. None of the three students involved attended the morning assembly or subsequent activities, leading teachers to initially believe they were absent, the principal said.
“We are not ignoring the situation. We have sent the deputy principal and class teacher to visit the injured student at home. We will also invite both parties’ guardians for a discussion today. The school takes responsibility for failing to ensure the safety of our students.”
Meanwhile, the local police, led by Police Colonel Phrith Boonpok, have acknowledged the report and are set to meet with the accused students on June 2 to address the charges, reported Sanook.
