It takes a long time and a lot of work to become a Thai citizen. You must be a permanent resident of Thailand for 5 years and have resided there continuously until applying for citizenship. If you dont meet these requirements you will be rejected straight away

Only 100 people a year will be approved for the Thai Citizenship and on top of that you will need to beable to speak read and write Thai. Just because of this i know i will get rejected instanrly, anyways will give it a try anyways, thank you the thaiger.

If you are have not been working for 3 consecutive years you will not be able to get the Thai Citizenship, i have just stopped working due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and now customer service said that i will need to restart the process from year 1.

-If everything is in order, your Thai Citizenship application will be lodged, and you have to pay the processing fee and give your fingerprints.

-You have to visit the Ministry of Interior and enter an interview in Thai as well as sing the Thai National Anthem.

-Wait for your application to be processed. During this time, Thai immigration officers will come to your home to ascertain that the details you provided are correct.

-If your Thai Citizenship application is approved, you have to take the Citizenship Oath at the Police Headquarters.
