Big-bike rider killed on Phuket road

A big-bike biker has died following a collision into the the back of a parked mini truck in Koh Kaew this morning (August 25).

The Phuket City Police were notified of the accident at 4.05am near the PTT gas station in Koh Kaew on Thepkrasattri Road, southbound.

Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a parked mini truck carrying ice with some damage in the back. The truck driver, Pohnchai Suttiprapa, was waiting for police at the scene.

Nearby police found a damaged Honda big bike. Police say the 24 year old driver, Nitad Horphon, died instantly after careering into the back of the parked truck.

Police are continuing their investigation and checking CCTV.
