Weather has little impact on local business

PHUKET: Amorn Chantanavivate, Director of the South Western Regional Meteorological Center, reports that the cold and windy weather Phuket has experienced over the past few days will continue until January. He warns all boats to be careful and urges small craft to remain in port until the weather improves. Local marine operators expect the weather to have little impact on business. Nipaporn Muansakul, a reservations officer at Phi Phi Marine Travel, told the Gazette that the weather has not affected trips to Phi Phi. He said the sea has not been as rough as expected. Rob Davies, Operations Manager of Asian-Adventures, said he had to cancel trips yesterday, but that operations were normal today.
