Trailer-truck flips on curve

PHUKET: A 10-wheel truck towing an 8-wheel trailer and carrying 900 bags of cement overturned on Chao Fa West Rd last night. While the overturned truck and trailer made for a dramatic scene for motorists on their way to work this morning, no one was hurt in the accident. Pol Maj Peeraphan Meemak, inspector of Phuket Town Police Station, told the Gazette that he received a report at 9 am that the truck and trailer were lying at the edge of the road, some 150 meters from the Charoen Phromphan supermarket. “The driver, Chaicharn Srikham, 30, from Prachuap Khiri Khan, was delivering the cement to the Chaofa Kah Mai woodshop on Chao Fa Road West. He was alone, and was not injured.” Chaicharn will have to pay for the replacement of a few plastic road markers, which were flattened by the truck, but no charges were laid against him.
